Deepika's father is the legendary Badminton player Prakash Padukone who was
one of India's greatest sportsmen. During the late '70s and early '80s Prakash
was the World No.1 in Badminton, winning the All-England Open in 1980, and
the World Cup in 1981. Her mother is a travel agent and she has a younger sister,
Anisha.
